Here's a hilarously stupid story for you all...

Ok, I am living in a hostel and I share my room with another girl. She is a new student and happens to be my junior. Since I am the senior student I have told her the rules I have, it is simple: don't bring boys into the room. Tell me people, is that so hard to comprehend?
I am not old-fashioned just that I have high moral standards and principles. If the other lacks any of it it's not my fault, blame the parents.

So you see, I told her the first day itself that I am not comfortable with bringing boys into the room. This bitch promised me that he's living far away and he won't come to the room and all. Ok, sounds good deal is deal we went on with our lives. Guess again.

Then a few days later, she told me he wants to come over.
WHAT THE HOLY FUCK?
I reminded her about the rule and she got all fired.
Fine, I will warned the warden about this.
I hate to fight seriously, I HATE TO FIGHT. I prefer a peaceful negotiation and talk things over like a sensible adult. Anyway, when I informed the warden, they did not take me seriously. Then, I went to the manager's. They ignored me too. This will not do, I will have my justice. I asked if they could give me a relative's number so I can talk to them and they gave me her father's contact. Good.

So, I called her father and told him that I told about the no-boys deal but she refused to listen and that she behaves as if she owns the room. I told him, no matter how I tried to communicate with her, she gives me this cut direct(she's like a rhinocerous, seriously, can you really stop a dog from wagging it's tail?)
. Then, her father sounded really angry. Apparently, she did not tell anything about her boyfriend to her family. Oh, my. Heh, lets see what happens.

Then, a few days later she confronted me.

She asked me if I knew her father.

This is it. Go for it, Eona.

Then, I said yeah know.

How did you know him she asked.

I got his number from the office I said.

What did you tel him she asked, again.

I told you did not comply to our no-boys deal.

Then, it begin.

She snapped as if all hell broke loose. Banging on the table and screaming on top of her lungs. Good grief, get help, woman!

She accused me of sleeping late, bring LADY friends into the room, and watching movies.

WHAT...THE...HOLY...FUCK...?

She accused me of saying bad things behind her back. I assure you, she started it(lol, how childish). One her coursemates(lets call her Y) happened to be a good friend of mine. She told me that my roomate had been fabricating stories behind my back like: I like to sleep late(what's wrong with that, pray tell?)

Then I told Y that it was SHE who likes to sleep late, watch movies and listen to musics at full blast without taking into account that I was studying. I was baffled.
I sleep late at night because I have homeworks and assignments to do. I have every right to sleep late.

Besides, I always open the table lamp so that it will dark enough for HER to sleep considering how petty she is.

To think I, the senior student had been nice to her AND HOW DARE SHE ACCUSE ME SUCH!
Ignorant wench! Impertinent hussy! Blasted witch! For shame!

Anyway, back to the ruckus.

She asked me if I knew her boyfriend.

Haa? How the holy fuck should I know?

Then she said "If you don't know him why shouldn't you let him in the room?!"

OH. MY. EFFIN. GAWD.
That's exactly why I don't want him in the room! I DON'T know who the bloody hell he is!

Then she proceeded to ask if I know what kind of problems I have caused her, her whole family is aghast bla, bla, bla...

Excuse me honey, but you brought it upon yourself.

Then she started to scream again(inset eye roll here) and said do you what kind of person my father is?

How the bloody hell should I know you retard?
Of course I told her 'no' politely(mocking actually). It felt good to see her go bitch. Hahahahahaha!

One of my neighboring tenants had to call the warden and the lady warden explained to her that it is against the rules to bring boys in to begin with.

You should have seen her face...it was priceless.

A moments later she gave what has got to be lamest excuse in history of excuses:
she said that she paid for this room and had every right to do whatever she wanted!
Honey, yo forgot the rules part. And newsflash, I pay for this room too.

Then she accused me...of being a lesbian. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? Just because I bring my ladyfriends to the room! My best friends! Good Lord!

This is precisely what she said: she always brings girls to the room, how do I know that she's not a lesbo?"

I am dumfounded. It was stupid on so many levels. I can't begin to describe how stupid the entire thing was.

I had the liberty of laughing in her face! That felt really good. I saw that the lady warden tried to bit back a smile.

Then, after the lady warden left she proceeded to threaten me that if I called her father again for any reason, I will see her other face. Newsflash honey, you are buttugly I guess both sides are corrupted.

I yawned. yes, I yawned in her face. Huh...lets see how THAT goes.
Why should I listen to her? She ain't my mama! Like hell that will stop me from calling her dad if she does anything to vex me, again. Many don't know despite my calm and collected appeareance, I am very stealthy.

Anyhoo, the crap ended with a loud bang on the door and me having a heartfelt laugh.

We are not talking terms anymore but it's better. I will not acknowledge her existance from now on. I will do as I please.

She is one of the many skanks who pretend to be perfect little angels in their parents eyes but does the nastiest things behind their back. How could you lie to your parents like that? How did you have the heart to betray their trust? She deserves it. It's about time she give up that perfect little angel facade. Bitch.

When I got a boyfriend I waited at least a month to tell them. yes, I started off my telling my sis. Then my mum and mum slowly told dad! They even sat down and viewed his friendster profile! I have never so relieved in my life. They approve of him btw! Yay me!

Review ~ The Girl in the Ice by Robert Bryndza

I'd give this 3.5 stars. It's his first book so there's that.  The plot ran smoothly with realistic dynamics between character...
