Pet Abandonement: The After Story

Pet abandonement happens so much on a daily basis it is easy to dismiss it as 'one of those things'. Very much like the escalating rape rates in India.

Pet Abadonement takes many forms: the family decided the family pet to be one of the "items" to be discarded during spring cleaning or moving into a new house; dumping it in a housing area thinking someone might feel sorry for it and pick it up; or simple plain assholery of being irresponsible.

I can only sit back on my bed and think - does this people not think what would happen or happened to their pets after dumping them? Can they really come back to a house without the pitter-patter of the paws of their pets? The excited tail-wagging? The loving licking and hugging and nipping at the ankle? How can they discard that?

Here is the story of Whitie, rescued by Aunty Umairah who is a feeder of stray dogs in her neighbourhood. Despite being a Muslim, she perseveres to look after the strays.

Whitie is a cream-coloured male labrador abandoned in front of an empty shopping lot. Whitie was patiently waiting for his guardian to come back, despite the cold and unforgiving weather.

Aunty Umairah with Whitie, sometime after freshly abandoned.

Aunty Umairah took notice and she soon included Whitie in her many feeds.
Whitie became confused, shy and disoriented. He was attacked by other strays, sustaining minor injuries. For a good number of days, Whitie was seen waiting at the very spot he was abandoned. Whitie is now among the plethora of house pets abandoned around Malaysia.

Whitie had it rough, having being forced to get used to from being a pet with a home to stray settling on scraps. At least Whitie has a feeder, some pets-to-strays has had to rummage on garbage bins to survive, abused by assholes simply for existing and always at the risk of being culled by the local municipal.

JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR PET.

Recently, Whitie was stabbed with a knife and had hot water poured on him by evil humans(whom I think are demons disguised as humans).

Pictures like this used to give me nighmares and a lot of heartache but in due time I simply resolved to help more animals like Whitie in the future.
I am still a broke ass student so it'll take time.

Whitie was treated and will now have the watchful eyes of Aunty Umairah and recuperate. How many strays have this privilege? How many pet-strays out there have simply perished from abuse wounds?

Animals shelters and Facebook users in my newsfeed occasionally post pics of pets that seem to have gotten lost. Very few made it home. I sometimes wonder if their former guardians stumble upon their pics and go 'Oh, here's one I dumped last week' ?

See people, in the event that you're not able to look after you pets anymore: here are your following steps.

1. Ask various animal shelters if they can take in your dog. Please send them to 'No-Kill' shelters.
2. YOU actively finding another family where someone would take him/her.

See? It's that simple. If you had been one of the people who had dumped their pets out in the streets hoping they'll be someone else's problems...I will hate you. I don't care if you're the reincarnation of Mother Theresa, I will hate you.

13th General Election: All Malaysians Must Watch This Before Voting

Saya bukan sokong PKR. Saya lagi tak sokong UMNO. Saya hanya nak government yang baru, berlepas daripada cengkaman diktator UMNO yang telah 50+ years merampas, mencuri dan penyeleweng warisan rakyat.

Change Your Blogger Font

Admittedly, the font selection in the Blogger template is limited and not really good as a eye-catching design.
After much scavenging in Youtube, I was suddenly enlightened of a time when I had to dabble with the "edit HTML" section of the blogger of a glitch my blogger gave me long time ago.

Today, I will teach you.

Go to Blogger > Template > Edit HTML

Using ctrl+ F function, search for "font".

You must come across THIS and THIS only. This HMTL paragraph(?) that has whatever that is underlined in red and blue. Keep in mind this is only to change body texts.

Blue : Font Size
Red : Font Type

Simply change the numbers only like right now the pic says 16px just change 16, to 20 or whatever desired font size that suits your blog.

As for font type, you can use the fonts in Word as a reference for a font that you wanna use. Simply replace whatever's that is in red, with any font that you want.

Click save and you're done!

ps: I might produce a video tutorial on this.

Playing the victim again, Kak Listen?

They say to silence an attention seeking person is to ignore them. But for one small-time NGO president turned overnight sensation, this is an opportunity too good to miss. Never mind that the whole of Malaysia now throws all sorts of insults in her direction(deservedly so), she continues to make an utter fool of herself by coming up with new, baseless allegations against the Forum Mahasiswa student, KS Bawani.

Even though Bawani had been gracious all the while for not demanding for forgiveness because really, a whole of Malaysia condemning in unison against an imbecile should be rewarding enough.
But for someone as demented as Sharifart, it matters not via what means she can climb up her so-called political career, as long as she gets some publicity. Such is the making of a true politician. Resourceful, conniving, manipulative, perfidious.

Chronology:

December 8 2012 : Forum Mahasiswa was held in UUM under the pretext of hosting a seminar about students and politics being in line (Seiringkah Mahasiswa dan Politik?) It turns out to be a pretty large scale bashing of the opposition, the Bersih rally and it's coordinator, Datuk Ambiga Sreenivasan. A plucky student, Bawani stood up and questioned on free education only to be rudely interrupted by the main facilitator of the forum. Please listen closely to the ikrar(oath) by one of the facilitators and watch a bunch of sheeps clapping blindly.

January 2013: A part of the video of the forum was released. The video showed Sharifah berating, insulting and demeaning Bawani in front of 2000+ students, going as far as saying - if you dont like this country, you are free to leave Malaysia. All hell broke loose.

The next consecutive weeks: Severe bashing on the said facilitator by more than 100,000 Malaysian comprising from all walks of life. Of course, with some unintelligent collective supporting Sharifart's deeds. Facebook pages were created to demand an apology from Sharifah. (here, here). Sharifart went incognito.
In the meantime, an organization she once belonged to kicked her out for having a reputation as 'unmanagable'. I bet they were just waiting for a moment like this to kick her out.

Recently: She finally released a much anticipated press statement. Rakyat was waiting for an apology. Instead, she spewed this garbage

Her royal hiney-ness graciously forgives Bawani for humiliating Bawani in front of 2000+ students.
Now if you will excuse me, I need to find my logic back.

Not along after this face-palm inducing statement, a local website released an article describing Sharifart as a disturbed character. If an international psychologist had to be consulted to declare you as a loony, I think Sharifart should have introspected and stepped away from the public.

Becoming greedy and lustful after fame, she went overboard when she released a pretty offensive allegation.

How shameless one can be to keep oneself in the limelight?

Bawani may be gracious, but limit is limit.

I'd say the time is nigh and due. This woman should be stripped of her political career and remain in exile for the rest of her life. A staunch BN supporter she may be but not even BN wants her. My guess is, she was currying favours with BN all this while to receive perks for SW1M where she is the president.
Well, the joke is on her. No one wants her in their organizations save for SW1M, whom she champions.

Sharifart, you have gone too far. It is now your turn to shed your thick skin, apologize where it's due and disappear from society. Someone as virulent as you should not infest good people with your existence.

PLEASE GTFO.

Review ~ The Girl in the Ice by Robert Bryndza

I'd give this 3.5 stars. It's his first book so there's that.  The plot ran smoothly with realistic dynamics between character...
