Nostalgia: Lord of The Rings

After watching The Hobbit and surfing through many LOTR-related blogs, I was suddenly reminded of the DVD’s I bought when the first two LOTR movies came out.
I was 11 years old when Fellowship of the Ring came out and I bought the special edition DVD myself.

Just want to share this:

As you can see on the left, it has a map of the LOTR universe on the DVD’s inner casing and an accompaniment booklet briefly describing the scenes and characters in the movies and stuff.

The smaller square box is the The Two Towers DVD, bought a year later after the second movie came out. Inside it is a leaflet explaining LOTR kingdoms like the Rohan, Dwarves, Elves, Easterlings, Uruk-Hai’s, Orcs, Ringwraiths etc.

Plus TWO unredeemed free Starbucks coffee vouchers!!! [They are folded so you only see one). OMG I checked the expiration date and it became invalid on Dec 2003! Almost 9 years ago!!

It pleases me greatly to know that a small bit of my childhood was preserved beautifully.

You may wonder what happened to the 3rd movie - Return of the King DVD. Well, I suppose it was simply lost. No matter, =) I will just buy another one.

I just wanted to share this bit of my childhood with you. I am 22 years old and I have been wonderstruck by these incredible movies since I was 11 years old.

Watching The Hobbit again made me want to revisit all the previous 3 movies.

Plus, my sister bought the books so I guess it time I read them!
