Another reverse-harem anime for you all!
This time it is game based anime called La Corda D'Oro~Primo Passo. It revolves around students in a school called Seiso Academy and it is divided into two parts: the ordinary sector and the music sector. The students in the ordinary sector are known as the more elite students.

General Summary:Hino Kahoko is not someone you would notice although she is pretty and quite smart. One fateful day she came late to school and stumbled upon a Music Fairy known as Fada and his name was Lily(Yup...that's the name). Lily granted Kahoko a magic violin that can be played by anyone provided that the music being played is deeply aprreciated and penetrates the heart sincerely. Kahoko was very unsure because she feels that such a thing is cheating and not right. Soon, she fell in love with it due to a music student's performace in a practice room in the school. She tried to play it in the violin randomly and found put that she could play it bloody well! She decided to keep the violin and continue. The misuc student is none other than Ren Tsukimori whom I will show soon.

Characters:

Hino Kahoko~~*
A student from the ordinary sector. She is an open-hearted girl who usually gets along with anyone. A straightforward girl. Unlike other reverse-harem heroines, she is very autonomic and clever in a weird sense. She tries very hard to solve her problems without asking anyone's help. I personally think it is commendable. She plays the violin for the pure pleasure of it. It makes her feel alive and happy. There was a point where she felt something was missing when Lily took the violin away from her due to mid-term examination. She was unable to concentrate and when she finally got the violin she felt like a heavy burden was taken away from her. When she was chosen to perform in the school's music competition, she likes to choose heartwarming, touching, emotional songs. She seems to be oblivious of the guys who have crush on her especially Hihara because according to her, he is like that to everyone.

Ren Tsukimori~~*

A whiz kid in the music sector. He is an arrogant, self-centered person who looks down on everyone. He is very good-looking. He is very serious about music and becomes vexed with anyone who seems to take music very leisurely. He came from a prominent family as his parents are both famous musicians. He lives with some kind of frustration within himself due to this. Ever since he was young, people tend to think he inherited his parents' talent and not something that came from within himself. So, at concerts and performances he tries his utmost to somehow'convince' others that the talent he has is all his. At first he thinks Kahoko is kinda weird but when he gets to know her, he slowly opens up and gives her tips on how to play the violin as he is also a violinst himself. He likes to choose songs that are dark and agrresive for concerts and peformances: very different from Kahoko. He is secretly admired by girls and boys in his school but none dares to talk to him due to his distant and cold nature. From the way he is potrayed in the anime, he is most likely the one to end up with Kahoko as he might have some feelings for her. He is almost the same height as Ryotarou.

Tsuchiura Ryotarou~~*

A student from the ordinary sector. Has a crush on Kahoko but does not show it. He is an excellent pianist. He quitted playing the piano because of some bad memory during a concert performance when he was young. He looks up to Chopin's works and uses them in competitions. He is said to be a soulful pianist as he completely engrosses himself into a piano performance. He is also a good sportsperson as he is good at both at soccer and basketball. He does not get along well with Ren Tsukimori due to their different views of music and background. A very supportive and sporting person who helps anyone in need. A true friend. He is quite good at math. He is the tallest character.

Hihara Kazuki~~*

A cheerful and energetic boy who is full of smiles! A very happy-go-lucky person who cares for everyone. He quite emotional for a boy as he does not hide his true feelings for Kahoko(yes, he has a HUGE crush on her and goes \(@O@)/ whenever she comes close to him).He eats a lot(must be because he moves a lot). A glutton with a big heart. He is a student from the music sector and he plays the trumpet. He likes happy, active songs that is very comforting to the soul. He is a little older than the rest of the characters in the anime. My favourite character. He is the same height with Ren.

Shimizu Eiji~~*
An angelic looking junior student who is kind of addicted to the cello. A student from the music sector. He does research on music and read books about music and visits the music galleries and exhibitions to enhance his knowledge about music. He loves the cello from the bottom of his heart. His style is said to be very textbook and serious. He plays the cello all night and feels sleepy in the morning. He can sleep anywhere in the school compund! He admires Kahoko's music and looks up to her in a sibling way. He has his own soundproof room in his house for him to practise his cello. The youngest of them all.

Yunoki Azuma~~*

A beautiful boy who has his own army of fangirls. He shows a gentle smile and caring attitude towards everyone but hides his true character. All this is because of his demanding grandmother's 'order'. He came from a distinguished business family and has to be someone his grandmother tells him to be in order not to bring the family any shame. As one of the sons of the Azuma family he is expected to continue economy and business for family traditions sake. He even has a bride chosen for him another distinguished family. Because of this he lets his frustration by bullying, tormenting and intimidating Kahoko(mentally). He thinks his life is boring and dull. He was told by his grandmother that music is not meant to be a career but simply a hobby. He obviously loves his flute and wants to be a musician. He somehow envy everyone else who have the freedom of choice. A torn soul.Personally, I emphatize with him. He is the same age as Hihara. He is the same height with Tsuchiura.

Review ~ The Girl in the Ice by Robert Bryndza

I'd give this 3.5 stars. It's his first book so there's that.  The plot ran smoothly with realistic dynamics between character...
