Okay, this is actually the ''sequel" of this post: http://talesofaluciddreamer.blogspot.com/2011/10/lookie-what-i-found.html
Better read that post first before you read this one.
Anyhow, lemme get started, mmkay?
It started on a Saturday morning where I went to the nearby mall for some time out alone(I have no boyfriend LOL): usual Forever Alone routines include eating lunch, visiting Guardian, Watson's, Speedy, MPH, S&J Gift Shop, Mug Stores, Toy Shop, and that ground floor in Jusco where they sell everything ranging from shoes to clothes to makeup and stuff. I wont even take 2 hours really I'm pretty fast when it comes to lepaking alone. A quick trip to the grocery store then I'm off to hostel.
After having done all this, I sat in the dingy Metro bus with my card holder necklace containing Hostel ID and Student Card. The bus reached my destination so I got down and after the bus left a few feet away only then I discovered...my Hostel ID and Student ID have dropped in the Metro bus!!!
I was in deep shit because after that weekend, that coming weekday is my exam week!!! Finals, that's what!
I actually broke down in the middle of the road, panicking like nobody's business as to what the f*ck will I do now that I don't have my student ID to enter the exam hall! Across the street was a bus stand, a young woman came over asked what was the matter and I tearfully recalled what happened.
Turns out she was an admin staff at my college and she told me to calm down, wrote on a piece of paper on what I could do for a temporary student ID that would allow me to enter my exam hall for a certain extended period of time.
OMG is she a guardian angel or what? Since there was still time, I promptly went to my school after having kept my stuff in the room and did a lot walking to and fro from buildings I never even knew existed until then.
You see, the karma part here is that after I have applied for a new Hostel ID and new Student ID, a week later I got a knock on my door late in the evening, one day before my first finals.
There stood a thin girl asking me if I'm (my name). I was like "Um, yes and you are...?".
Just like that, she handed over a blue and a green card, both of which was the Student ID and the Hostel ID that I have lost a week ago in that dreaded Metro Bus respectively.
I couldn't believe it. I just...WOW. Just WOW! How is this remotely possible? As I stood there incredulous and amazed at my luck I thanked her sincerely from the bottom of my heart.
I gently cradled those 2 cards in my hands, placed them on my study table and just looked at them.
It's hard for me to fathom this. I mean, what are the odds? What are the odds that I would get back something I was convinced was lost forever and was hopeless about it? I suppose I could thank my lucky stars this time or my guardian angel who has a big heart. Whoever it was that made this work for me, I thank you.
You just saved me lots of money and hassle. I not only managed to get back the money I paid for my replacement cards but my old cards were still in good shape.
The catch?
I only realized this 3 years after it had happened.
Perhaps, I was helped because I had helped someone in the same situation.
So folks, help people as much as you can and don't expect anything in return. The Universe have a pretty magical way of working with turn of events.

A Momento From My Childhood
Mum went back to Ipoh to get some stuff to be moved into my new home in KL(Kuala Lumpur) and much to my girlish delight, she brought home this:
It's still heavy with coins.
This adorable Fire Pig piggy bank I had since I was 12(I'm 21 now). Mom got it for me in a gift shop because she liked how I was good at saving up money. I guess she was being supportive.
It's made from ceramic and the paint is till intact. In fact, it's still good as new! Ah...I remember the days of emptying it and refilling it with coins many times over.
I know this might seem insignificant to you but for me this is one of the good things in my life that had lasted longer than usual - 10 years.
I suppose here is the part where I can bra about how well I take care of my things. >=P
Ja Ne!
Lookie What I Found!
As I was cleaning my purple sling bag which had a purple pocket umbrella and my new purple wallet(see what I did there?), I stumbled upon this little olive-yellow piece of rock with LUCK carved on them.
Boy, I have completely forgot that I even had these. You see, there's a heartwarming beautiful story that comes with this little rock.
You see back in my diploma studying days where I suffered miserably with sluts for roomates, I had experienced this really beautiful thing. It was one of the most nicest things that happened during my time there.
You see, one day after coming back from a long day of classes, I was stopped by the security guard who gave me a plastic case that had loads of cards in them. Driver's License, IC, Hostel ID, Students Cards and some other cards - lets just say it was a lot of cards.
Apparently, some girl dropped this on the shortcut pavement that leads to the college to and fro from the hostel. He gave it to me because he thought since she was also an Indian, I would know her. I don't know the girl but she lived in the same block as me, two rooms above. I told him I would hand deliver this myself because exams are like just 2 days away and by the time the hostel management put up a notice it would take 3-5 days and believe me, the whole admin process of acquiring a new student ID to sit for your exams are tedious(personal experience) so I thought better if I just go to her room and save all that trouble.
After placing my stuff in my room I went to her room(it was stated on her Hostel ID) but no one was there. The door was not locked and the room was cleaned-bed arranged, study table sorted out and what-have-you so I thought, maybe her exams starts much later and she went back until then. Oh, what the heck, I'll just leave a note on her bed and she can always come look for me - exam season where else would I be but in my room studying? Im not going to go anywhere, very unlikely in this exam season.
So I placed her stack of cards nicely in my drawer and went about my business. I was cramming for about an hour and went out for a short toilet break.
I came back to find 2 Indian girls looking panicked and stricken outside my room. She asked "Are you (her name)?".
(Her name was on the ID card so I kind of know).
And she was "OMG YES ARE YOU (my name)?" I left a note with my name on LOL so she would know who to look for - I lived with a roomate back then. Gotta get the names right heh heh.
And I handed over the card stacks and she was thanking me profusely. It was kind of embarassing because you see, I did this not for getting thanks or to feel good about myself but merely to help out another student - that was all, I wasn't even thinking too much about it. It was just one of those 'oh, well' situation.
After further profuse thanking and asking how I got/ find them and me explaining briefly, she left and I went about my own business again.
The next afternoon after my final class before the finals, I saw a small pink package tied up to my cheap DIY clothes stand. I thought it was for my roomate because my roomie is a pretty popular girl and perhaps it was from one of her admirers. She was still a slut tho. Anyway.
I checked the little pink card that came with the package to confirm and much to my surprise the card had my name on it!
Who could this be??? How very strange!
I set my stuff on the bed temporarily and opened the card that had read:
OH MY STARS. Oh...my...goodness...holy flipping floorboards!
The little pink package had a small red box with pink ribbons and lo and behold...it's that very same olive-yellow piece of rock with LUCK engraved on them.
I sat in complete stillness just drinking in this little miracle that befell on me just before my dreades finals and I was so happy the whole day I couldn't stop smiling. Such a simple, fleeting gesture that I hadn't even thought about seriously turned out into something so incredible and beautiful. To do something good for someone without expecting something is indeed a fulfilling feeling.
And that little thing about karma? Well, what goes around does come around. After the start of my next semester where I was sitting for my finals, the same thing happened, this time: I'm the main character.
Stay tuned.

Book Review: Secrets of The Dragon's World by Dominic Guard
If you have read my Secrets of the Fairy Ring post : http://talesofaluciddreamer.blogspot.com/2011/10/book-review-secrets-of-fairy-ring-by.html then you would enjoy this book, another delightful one by Dominic Guard(illustrated by Leo Hartas).
George is a sheep herder who lives with his mother. His father is a brave knight and had been missing for some time since his last quest. One day while herding his flock of sheep, a very peculiar looking egg had fallen from the woods and landed near George. George liked the perfect oval shape of the egg and took it home.
The next day, George woke up to find his perfect egg had a crack in it. In anger, he was about to flung it to the wall when it twitched in his hands. George gently put the egg back onto the floor and it slowly cracked open to reveal BABY DRAGON. The green baby dragon is later revealed to be a Wood Dragon: a species of dragon famed for their knowledge, wisdom and their friendliness towards humans. In a very interesting twist of event, George and the baby dragon whom he named White Coat(read the book to know how it came to be) embark on a journey to find their parents(George wants to look for his missing father and White Coat, his parents).
This book was not only a storybook but a rather informative one about the types of dragons. For example, Knuckers are dragons with stumpy wings and fireless breath that lives in the filth of caves, Marsupial Dragons are terrible hunters that shows no mercy to their prey, The Frost Dragons are beautiful dragons that lives in ice cold mountain tops. They're not very fond of the uncouth Knucker dragons. Wyverns are the most feared and deadly dragons because they're the strongest, biggest, most ruthless killers despite having only two feet and the Sea Serpents are dragons who lives in the sea. She doesn't breath fire, doesn't have wings or legs but rather a body like the snake and head of a dragon. She has a foul fishy breath that sends any brave knights to their demise.
Here are some of the other things that can be found in the bookset.
Map of this fabled world.
The actual story book contains about 50 pages.
A page in the story book. Can you guess which dragon is in the picture?
'Treasures' inside this book. XD
Dragon's Skin.
George's bejeweled dagger that belonged to his grandfather.
Yes, this toy dagger can be unsheathed. HOW AWESOME IS THAT???
The Emerald Ring that belonged to George's grandfather. Sorry for the terrible picture quality, I don't own my own camera so I had to use my handphone...=(
I wore the ring on my own finger so you could see how pretty it actually is. It's so...GREEN! <3
A dragon's claw.
A dragon's tooth. You're supposed to pretend the tip of the tooth is poisoned. It's belongs to only a specific type of species, can you guess which one based on the short descriptive I have written in the above paragraph?
This is supposed to be White Coat. You're supposed to use this when he learns how to fly. (it's in the book).
Dragon's are very fond of jewels. =)
Overall, I give this book a full ten on a 1 to 10 scale. It's delightful, informative and leaves the reader to their imagination with such cute toys!
A little note though: all dragons are FEMALES. They reproduce on their own by laying an egg every 10 years. However, this story book implies that there are male-female variety in dragon species. Well, it's for the children so I guess they need that fabricated stereotype.

Review: Thundercats 2011
Ah! They made a reboot of this series. A good part of my childhood is being relieved. For all of you awesome people who grew up with this fuckin' cool cartoon series. Let's look back at our 1980's heroes.
Lion-O. Is that how you spell his name?
Cheetara.
Skirtboy and Slut. Sorry, Kit and Kat.
BDSM Guy. Again, sorry. This is Panthro.
This is Jaga.
This is Tigra.
In the 80's version, young Lion-O and his team were sent in a capsule to another world because their world was on the verge of destruction. Jaga died on the voyage but time passed really long that by the time Lion-O awoke from his time capsule, he was a full grown man. We watch every episode of him defeating Mumra and some other villains and danced to the theme song everytime. If you did this, put your hands up!
Reboot version:
Guess who are they?
Well this is Claudious. I don't think he made more than one episode for the 80's version as well.
Honestly speaking, this reboot Snarf is so much CUTER! 80's version was...well...*cough* this new Snarf doesn't speak but gives out a meow-like sound like a cat. OMG he's so CUTE!
Omgeeee squeeee!!! Anyhoo, in this reboot version, Lion-O lives a carefree life in the flourishing kingdom of Thundera. Tigra is his adopted brother. King Claudious is most disappointed that Tigra behaves more like a king than his own flesh and blood, Lion-O. In this world where they call it 3rd Earth, technology is considered as myth but only Lion-O seems to have faith in them which rendered him as an oddball among his people.
One day, after the return of a long-travelled general, Grunn, Thundera was attacked by enemies.
They were top predators to endangered species ONE DAY.
Thus began young Lion-O's journey to find the Book of Omen and find Mumra to whoop his skeletal ass.

Verdict: I say give this reboot a chance even if it seems to Americanized for some people's taste. I have always been an open person so...yeah just watch for the fresh feeling.
Tried My Hand at a Cynide and Happiness comic
Okay, I'm sorry if Cynide and Happiness have already done something similar to this but I recently found their website and I'm hooked. I simply love their sense of humor. So no plagiarism here just a fanart to show my dedication to Cynide and Happiness.
My mom really liked this amateur comic strip but she kinda interpreted them wrong so I'm ust gonna add some text for you old people out there. XD
Boy was giving a flower to the girl, you can assume he was asking her out on a date. Then, a wild muscle man appears!!! The boyfriend was starting to feel a lil' hopeless because seriously, like he can have a chance against that. But then, the girl stepped forward and showed Le Muscle Man the finger! The boyfriend was elated that she chose a regular guy like him than a muscle head. The muscled guy was disappointed and was all 'woe is me'. The newly happy couple then pranced away in their little love bubble. As the muscle man was basking in his emoness, a wild cute puppy appears! The cute puppy beckoned to him and our muscle found a new love, in a form of a new puppy who will love him unconditionally! Our muscle man had not had a bad day after all. =D

Book Review: Secrets of the Fairy Ring by Dominic Guard
Can you see fairies?
Look carefully inside Secrets of Fairy Lore
and you will find Mab and the
three Elemental Fairies in the
Enchanted Fairy Wood.
Move closer and join them
on their journey as they search for
Mab's magical Fairy Dust.
As written on the left side of the page of this really delightful children's book. Illustrated by Marsela Hadjindak-Krec Tamsin Hinrichsen. Now this is one unique children's book. On the surface it looks like a book but lift the magnet a the side and pop! This is what you get in the inside.
Queen Mab rules her Fairy Kingdom with enchanted stories. To aid her story telling, she uses the Fairy Dust to help her enhance her story. With this Fairy Dust, her subjects are happy and her kingdm flourished with joy and happiness.
One unfortunate day, when it was time for another story time Queen Mab has had her Fairy Dust stolen! Without her Fairy Dust, she wont be able to tell a story and if she can't tell a story, she wont be Queen anymore! What will happen to her people then?
The Queen summoned her favourite cousins the Elemental Fairies.
~*Fire*~
Known as Blaze to her close friends. She brave, fearless and tend to get playful at the wrong time. Think of RainbowDash from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
~*Water*
Known as Lilly to her friends. She is the cleverest and have the most level head on her shoulders among her cousins. Think of Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
~*Air*
Known as Faye to her friends, she is polite, quiet and shy, have the best diplomatic skills due to her gentle nature. Think of Fluttershy from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Now these cousins are so different from each other that they often break out in arguments. Queen Mab entrusted these three beautiful fairies to help her find her Fairy Dust as soon as possible. Thus begin adventure for these plucky fairies into the unknown. Alng the way, these girls learn the truth about the Fairy Dust thief and what it means to work together as a team.
I give this book 5/5 for it's effort for being aesthetic and creative. When reading this book I actually arranged the figurines on the table and looked at them every time the fairies have a turn in their dialogues! It was so much more fun that way! I think I will keep this to be passed down to my own future children.
